Clubs at Sandy Lane

At Sandy Lane Primary we try to offer the children a wide range of activities outside the school day.

Some of these clubs, such as French, Judo, learning to play brass and stringed instruments, incur a cost as we employ outside teachers.

Teachers also run clubs for children after school. We have a flourishing choir, CC4G (Computer Club for Girls), craft club, bird watching club, stamp club, knitting club and science club.

We also organise extra sporting activities and training. We have a football team (Runners up in the Bracknell Forest Schools League 2005 / 2006 and Five a Side Champions 2006). There are opportunities for cross country running, kwick cricket, tag rugby, gymnastics and badminton.

Children who are learning to speak English as a new language can go to the computer suite, with a friend, on Monday lunchtimes and use different websites to help them learn English.  They also play many different games to improve their English skills.
